Kansas City Royals: “I had the best time last week at the Kansas City Royals game promoting the Kansas truck race. We got to throw out the first pitch which is pretty nerve racking in front of all those people. It’s different when you are in your own element on the race track but sometimes having to step outside of the box makes you push your limits a little. We stood in front of everyone and led the “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” song. I practiced several times, wrote the lyrics on my hand and still struggled at some points in the song. But man what fun that was! We really had a great time getting to know some of the players and the staff. It’s a beautiful facility and I enjoyed stepping outside of the box like that.”
Kansas Speedway: “This team at HT Motorsports has worked really hard last year and into the winter on their speedway program. It’s really been great to be a part of it this year. We raced so well at California and my teammate did really well at Atlanta not too long ago. So we know that together we are capable of using what we learned as teammates and putting that in a package on the race track that will really benefit our organization as a whole.”
Taking a Break: “Sometimes you think man a break would be great. You think of all the things you need to take care of at home or at the office during some down time, but you know this break has seemed really long. We’ve been busy with appearances, and getting things organized at my company and especially spending some time with my son. So I’ve taken advantage of the time, but I’m a racer and let’s get back to the track! I cannot say enough about how I feel like this team has a great package and we can win some races. I just know that the right combination will work in our favor soon. We’re eager and ready to win, and at this point getting back on the track will feel so good for all of us.”
